Halifamous Delivers is a one-night event that will bring people together for pizza parties all over Halifax! Our very own Halifamous will be delivering pizzas to homes across the HRM while bringing awareness and raising money for Family SOS. The best part? These Halifamous have pledged $20K each if we sell the city out of pizza!!! It's a WIN WIN.
Since the onset of the pandemic, Family SOS has been providing food support to over 200 children and families a week across the HRM. As an inclusive family support organization and Feed Nova Scotia’s largest member agency, they are committed to maintaining this support.
Help Family SOS fight against food insecurity by supporting teams of Halifamous hometown heroes as they race to raise over $100,000. Enjoy a slice while you’re at it!

Family SOS is a local, non-profit organization directed toward building strong and healthy families. Founded in 1978 by Dr. John Anderson, as an inclusive family support agency, Family SOS takes a preventative approach to assisting families by development parenting confidence and providing the guidance and tools required to successfully navigate their life circumstance.
Family SOS focuses on:
- Increasing parenting confidence
- Developing relationships within families
- Improving confidence in children and youth
- Encouraging pro-social choices
- Strengthening communication within families
- Improving health and well-being
- Empowering self-sustainability
- Removing the barriers to food security
As a grassroots organization, Family SOS’ integrated and extended approach to support is the most effective way in achieving long term outcomes and successes that have a direct and measurable impact.

Through 2020-2021, Family SOS has offered food support to approximately 200 families per week in an effort to fight food insecurity during the pandemic. For at least 80% of these families, this became a necessary and primary source of nourishment. Family SOS is now Feed Nova Scotia’s largest member agency. Many of the families supported by Family SOS will require extended relief over the next couple years and we are committed to helping them through this period.
